In this Workshop you will learn how to make a Dye and Use the Hydraulic Press to make jewellery components through the process of "Dye Forming".

"Dye Forming" is the process of using a Hydraulic Press to force metal into a hollow form. The Process starts with a "sandwich" made up of: Rubber, Metal sheet and a Plastic Dye.

The Plastic Dye has a shape cut out and, when under pressure, the Rubber will force the Metal Sheet into the hollow;
resulting in a 3D "puffed" out form. (The above Photos are examples only we will be working in Copper)
